Ratio Project
You are having a family party, and you need to make a side dish or dessert for the party.  What are you going to make, and how much do you need to make? How much would your ingredients cost?
You will find a recipe for a side dish or dessert that you want to make and create a poster telling me about how much of each ingredient you need for 0→5 batches and how much those ingredients would costs for 0→5 batches of your dish.  Your recipe must have at least 4 ingredients from which you can create your ratios and diagrams.  You must also research how much those ingredients cost and create a diagram from those prices.  You can make a double number line or a visual diagram to represent your batches.
The requirements for this project are:
  1. Find a recipe using at least 4 ingredients.
  2. Make a visual diagram representing the ratio between 4 different ingredients, and write a sentence describing the ratios.
  3. Make a double number line representing how much of those ingredients you need for 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 batches .
  4. Make a double number line representing how much those ingredients cost for 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 batches.
  5. Write 1-2 sentences describing your ratios using the word per.
You will put these on a 12” x 18” poster that you may present to the class. Be creative! Use color and pictures!  This project is due at the beginning of class on November 2.
