4. Continue to work on this week's

**IXL: W.2 and W.4**(due today!)

**Thursday, April 16**

1. Today, we are going to

**learn U7L13 "Decomposing Bases for Area"**

2. Your learning targets:

a. I can calculate the volume of a prism with a complicated base by decomposing the base into quadrilaterals or triangles.

3. First,

**correct your work from yesterday**by using the 12.3 Chart Answers in google classroom (this is what you submitted for your classwork).

4. Next, go to

**Lesson 13, Activity 2. Watch the VIDEO in google classroom guiding you on how to solve the problem.**

5. Then,

**COMPLETE Activities 13.1 AND 13.3.**

6. Finally,

**complete the EXIT TICKET in google classroom and submit**.

7. There are NO practice problems due.

8. Continue to work on I

**XL: W.2 and W.4 (due tomorrow).**

**Wednesday, April 15**

**1. Today, we are going to learn U7L12 "Volume of Right Prisms"**

2. Your

**learning targets**:

**a. I can explain why the volume of a prism can be found by multiplying the area of the base and the height of the prism.**

3. Using: Edpuzzle | Volume of Right Prisms (link in google classroom)

4.

**You will watch the entire video (7:59) and along the way, there are embedded questions you will need to stop and answer.**

5. After you answer a question, you need to hit "CONTINUE" to move on to the next portion.

6. You will need a math notebook to do your work and take notes.

7.

**In your math book, complete Activity 12.3.**

You must use the online textbook/applet- this will allow you to choose different prisms to view to find the base area, height, and volume. https://access.openupresources.org/curricula/our6-8math-v1/7/students/7/12.html--

**For Activity 12.3, you must write your data in the chart in your book and take a picture to submit here.**

8. There are no practice problems due.

9. Continue to work on

**IXL: W.2 and W.4**(due by Friday)

**Tuesday, April 14**

1. Today we are going to

**Learn U7, L11 "Slicing Solids."**

2. Your

**learning targets**:

**a. I can picture different cross sections of prisms and pyramids**

b. I can explain that when a 3-dimensional figure is sliced, it creates a face (flat surface) that is 2-dimensional

b. I can explain that when a 3-dimensional figure is sliced, it creates a face (flat surface) that is 2-dimensional

3.

**Complete Activities 11.2 and 11.4 using the online textbook/applet**- this will allow you to manipulate the prisms to see the different cross sections.

4. In Khan Academy,

**watch the assigned video: "Slicing a rectangular pyramid" (3:29)**

5. In Khan Academy,

**complete the assigned problem set: "Cross sections of 3D objects (basic)" (4 questions)**

6.

**To turn into google classroom: U7L11 ALL practice problems**

7. Continue to work on

**IXL W.2 & W.4**- due by Friday

**Monday, April 13**

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope you had a good week, relaxing and spending quality time with your families :)

1. Today, we are going to review what we have learned in Unit 7 so far!

2. Using: Edpuzzle | Solving for unknown angles

**(link is in google classroom assignment)**

3. You will watch the entire video (21 minutes) and along the way, there are embedded questions you will need to stop and answer.
