**It's CATCH UP DAY!**

1. Use this time to

**look through ALMA**to see if you are missing any math assignments that can be made up and turned in.

**(Assignments can only be made up from Week 7 (5/4-5/8) and Week 8 (5/11-5/15)**2. Please email me appropriate screenshots to support your assertion that work has been completed.

3.

**IXL: DD.2 & DD.3 are due today.**

4.

**Optional:**if you so desire, refer to your

**Recommendation Wall in IXL**to see the targeted practice that IXL has suggested for you and work on a few standards!

**OR get ahead and complete next week's IXL: DD.5 & DD.7!**

**Thursday, May 14**

**Our spirit week this week is: Outdoor Week! Get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and send pictures of you doing so to dmleadership@reedschools.org

**Do you have talent? Share with us and sign up for the Del Mar Talent Show!

Today we are going to

**learn U8L8, "Keeping Track of All Possible Outcomes."**

**Your Learning Target:**

a. I can write out the sample space for a multi-step experiment, using a list, table, or tree diagram.

1.

**Please follow and complete the lesson by using the google slides in google classroom.**There are 4 short videos to watch.

2.

**Complete the exit ticket**(pdf in google classroom) and submit there.

3.

**Complete practice problem #1(a thru e) only**, check answers and submit there.

4. Continue to work on this week's assigned

**IXL: DD.2 & DD.3 - due tomorrow**.

**Del Mar Talent Show!**

**Today we are going to learn U8L6, "Estimating Probabilities Using Simulation" and L7, "Simulating Multi-Step Experiments."**

**Your Learning Targets:**

a. I can simulate a real-world situation using a simple experiment that reflects the probability of the actual event.

b. I can use a simulation to estimate the probability of a multi-step event.

1.

**Please follow and complete the lesson by using the google slides in google classroom**. There are 3 short videos to watch.

2.

**Take a picture of your Alpine Zoom simulation and submit to google classroom.**

3.

**Complete IXL DD.6**(if you miss a problem, take the time to read and see where you went wrong and how to get the correct answer.)

** To note,

**you do not have to complete any practice problems.**

4. Continue to work on this week's assigned

**IXL (due by Friday.)**

**Tuesday, May 12**

Today we are going to

**learn U8L5, "More Estimating Probabilities."**

**Your Learning Targets:**

a. I can calculate the probability of an event when the outcomes in the sample space are not equally likely.

b. I can explain why results from repeating an experiment may not exactly match the expected probability for

an event.

1.

**Please follow and complete the lesson by using the google slides in google classroom.**

2. You will need to

**download the pdf into notability and after completed, you will turn it in.**

3. You will

**complete practice problems #1-4 and turn that in as well.**

Today we are going to

**learn Lesson 4: "Estimating Probabilities Through Repeated Experiments."**

**Your learning targets:**

a. I can estimate the probability of an event based on the results from repeating an experiment.

b. I can explain whether certain results from repeated experiments would be surprising or not.

1.

**Watch the Edpuzzle video in google classroom (19 minutes)-**

**Follow along, answer questions and take notes in Lesson 4 of your math book or in your math journal.

**Important: When the video pauses, there is a question for you to answer, sometimes more than

one. You have to select or type your answer and then select "submit." After, select "next question"

(if there is one), and then when you are finished answering the question(s), select "continue."

**After you submit your answers, it will show you them for your review and/or correct them. When it

does this, keep selecting "next question" and then "continue" for the video to continue playing.

2.

**Complete ALL Lesson 4 Practice Problems and submit to today's google classroom assignment.**

3. Begin working on

**this week's IXL: DD.2 & DD.3 (due by Friday.)**

**4. LASTLY, the final Mathematician Poster is due by the end of today!**
